The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gerald McKiernan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Chuck Flynn

Lynn, Anne and Robert, Gerry (who was always and forever "Mick" to me) was the young kid from Fair Haven who rose up to be the accomplished man of Washington. I can recall as a little boy seeing him driving a New Haven Register delivery truck, rise to be the Capitol reporter before diving headfirst into a great career of national politics. Always the loquacious Irishman with plenty stories to tell a quick wit and infectious laugh. He always made time for all his Connecticut relatives and will be missed. No doubt he is now comfortably seated at the Fair Haven table in heaven happily catching up and swapping stories and jokes with the clan that went before him. May the road rise up to meet him and until we meet again may God hold him in the palm of his hand. Chuck & Karen Flynn- Madison CT
