Obituary for Michael Harvey

Michael Harvey, 61, of Hollis, died peacefully at Southern NH Medical Center on January 30, 2018.
He was born in Burlington, VT on October 19, 1956, a son of Seward and Ida (Dufresne) Harvey.
Michael was the husband of Patricia (Moretti) Harvey, whom he married on August 23, 1986. They have shared over 31 years of marriage.
He was a software engineer throughout his career. His career began at Digital Equipment in 1978, and he left for Oracle Corporation in 1998. Most recenty, Michael was a consultant with VSI Software.
Following his graduation from high school, he attended and earned his degree at the University of Vermont.
His is remembered as a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Michael loved to cook especially homemade bread. In his younger years, he enjoyed running and cycling. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents and beloved wife, Patricia, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Marisa Harvey of Sudbury, MA and his daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Tyler Rieke of Baltimore, MD; his granddaughter, Olivia Rieke and a second granddaughter who will arrive in the near future; his sisters, Veronica Brown, Sandra Labounty and brother, Brady Harvey, and their families; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Larry Montani; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Michael’s family will gather with family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM until the service. Interment prayers and burial will be held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial donation to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 3 Lutheran Dr., Nashua, NH 03063 or the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry St., Nashua, NH 03064 (www.hsfn.org).
