The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Harvey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I was Mike's roommate in College. I was very sad to learn of his passing from the UVM quarterly magazine. We only spoke 2-3 times after beginning our adult working lives, and I recall visiting the family in Nashua once. He was a gentle and industrious soul.

I was stunned to hear of Mike's passing. We worked together for many years at both DEC and Oracle. I had the honor of being his sponsor on his transition from DEC/HP to Oracle. Mike was a brilliant engineer; he invented many of the software techniques that have become std. practice on 64-bit computers. We were also running buddies and so his passing strikes me even more deeply. Rest in peace, my friend.

We were stunned to hear of Mike's passing. I first knew him as an exemplary engineer and role model to the team we worked together on at DEC, a great guy, always focused and level-headed, but who could surprise you with his dry humor. In a few (too few) meetings in later years, we learned what a wonderful, dedicated father he had been. And a dog lover - we always swapped dog stories when we met. Our deepest condolences to Pat, Tim, and Natalie and their families. He was taken much too soon.
