The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Martha Dawson Wilson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Bridge

The first time I met Martha was when we needed a fourth for bridge. I was playing with two other people from Church and they brought Martha to make a fourth. At one point, Martha and I were partners and at the end of the hand, Martha jumps up and walks around her chair. She said something to the effect of she had to move. We were playing at my apartment and I thought she was uncomfortable in the chair. I offered her several things that I thought would help. She politely declined. She did the same thing later in the night but this time prefaced the walk with, I'm going to change my luck by walking around the chair. I had to laugh and often did the same move. I'm not sure it ever changed either person's luck but it certainly brought a smile to my face. You will be missed, Martha.
