The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Latongia Pepper can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Loving Latongia

We had the pleasure of meeting Latongia at Roper Mountain Science Center. Our very first memory of her, and the lasting one, is that of her smile.  She immediately flashed us her magnificent smile--and when Latongia smiled, her whole face smiled and she immediately set you at ease with her warmth and genuineness.  Another lasting memory of her is that she was a ball of energy--every time we saw her she seemed to be in a very focused and intense rush to prepare for her class or a presentation.  In spite of being conscientiously concerned about her preparation, she still stopped to give us a few moments of her time and a part of herself.  We were also privileged to attend one of her auditorium science presentations where we experienced first-hand her passion and enthusiasm for teaching.  Wow, did she ever know how to put on a show!  We loved it and will never forget it!  Her lesson made a lasting impression on us. We are so much going to miss seeing her whenever we visit RMSC--it won't be the same without her because she was a part of RMSC and we associate it with her.  If she was this precious to us who knew her as a fond acquaintance, we can only imagine how much she is going to be missed by her loving family.  Indeed, for us all, loving Latongia was a blessing.  Our prayers and love go to those she loved and to everyone who loves her.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.  He will dwell with them and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."   Rev. 21:3-4
