The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kyle Flapan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

When you moved to Motor Avenue, I lived in the basement apartment of my parents’ house, directly across the street. When I met Simo, your parents popped over with a case of beer, and we became immediate friends. I nicknamed your dad “Happy Go Lucky Neighbor!” We watched you and Matthew come and go, waving from the front lawn or driveway, most likely with a lacrosse stick in hand. We hung out at parties that included your friends and your parents’ friends. Always fun, always welcome, always comfortable, just like family. I can still see your silly smirk as you tilt your head to say hello through traffic. You never hesitated to cross over to chit-chat, just like your mom and dad. I thank you a million times for helping my parents, Richie and Rosie, now in their elder years and totally nutty. LOL. Our last conversation was as recent as a few weeks ago when Rosie tried to feed you some pot roast. Good thing you weren’t home. 😂. I am so sorry that you struggled with an addiction. I know you never meant for this to happen or make us sad, but we are all sad because you will truly be missed. Your parents respectfully donated some of your vital organs, if someone gets your heart, he/she is blessed. You have a good one. May you rest peacefully now.
