Obituary for Margaret Bernard

Margaret V. E. Bernard, 80, of Adamsville, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorcas (Morris) Eagles.

Margaret was a former Bartender at The Royal Canadian Legion and a Housekeeper. She volunteered at the Community Hall and was very involved within the community of Harcourt. Margaret was very determined with anything she set her mind to.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Robert Bernard; daughter, Judy Thompson (Paul); son, John Eagles (Jean); grandchildren, Shawn, Ben, Jessie, Julie and Lindsay; great-granddaughter, Summer; sisters, Barb Fillmore (Brian) and Kathy Reid (Mike); nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin Eagles.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Medical ICU at The Moncton Hospital for the excellent care given to Margaret during her stay. And also to Dr. Telfer for her outstanding care as Margaret’s family physician.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Margaret’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Laurence Quin–Morris presiding. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will be in St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Adamsville.
