Obituary for June Gauvin

1929-2019
With heavy hearts, the family of June Marie Gauvin announces her passing on June 19, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital.

June was the only child of Leonard and Daisy Campbell, born on September 14, 1929 in Attleboro, Mass. She grew up in Charlottetown, PEI and Saint John, NB. Her adult life was spent in Summerside, PEI and Moncton, where she worked for Blue Cross, Theater Confections and Moncton Real Estate Board.

She was the fiercely proud mother of Cheryl (Garfield) Ganong, Trina Ladd and Debbie (Charles) Richard, and proud Nanny of Ryan, Joel (Mandy), Grayden and Roghan Ganong, Caiya Jowett Ladd and Shelby (Tristan) Allain, Devin Knowles, and Marc-André Richard. She adored her great-grandchildren Alexandre, Akash and Arnav Ramanuj-Ganong, Coen Ganong and Chloe, Adèle and Lucas Allain. She is also survived by many good friends and chosen family.

A generous and gracious hostess, June loved playing cards, dancing, travelling and a good yard sale. She was a delightful mix of elegance and randy humour and we will miss her forever. June was predeceased by her parents and husband, Joe Gauvin (October 2018).

The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Peoples Park Tower for their warmth, caring and friendship.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel at People’s Park Tower (Camden Park Terrance entrance, 55 Camden Crescent) on Friday, June 21 at 12:30PM with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating, followed by a Celebration of Life downstairs in Rose Hall. Please bring your June stories and your dancing shoes. The arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremations Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).

Donations to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
