Obituary for Brian Wilson

It is with profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Brian Charles Wilson husband of Shirley (Melvin) Wilson, age 65 of North Tay, NB on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, surrounded by family and friends. He passed peacefully after a battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born on July 5, 1954, Brian was the son of the late Todd and Ruth (Tomilson) Wilson of North Tay.

Brian dedicated much of his life to the family dairy farm. He served on numerous boards and councils associated with agriculture and the farming industry. Brian was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. He enjoyed these activities with his many close friends.

In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his sons, Scott and his wife, Katie and their children, Todd and Faith of Truro, NS; Michael and his wife, Jessica and their children, Clara, Audrey and Lydia of Bridgewater, NS; siblings, Arthur (Carol) of North Tay, NB, Robert (Erinn) of Quadra Island, BC, Peter (Janine) of Whycocomagh, NS, Judy Nicholls (John) of Fredericton, NB, Betty Wilson of Lunenburg, NS, Janet Mosher (Mark) of Halifax, NS, Donna Wilson (Dave Bartlett) of Harvey, NB and Charlotte Swanson (John) of Woodstock, ON; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Louis Wilson and Stephen Merrill.

The Wilson family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the DECRH who provided Brian with the best care possible.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Reception will take place at York Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
