Obituary for H. Lester Barkhouse

H. Lester “Les” Barkhouse, 71, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2019. Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late Albert and Doris (Smiley) Barkhouse.

Les retired from Co–op Atlantic with 12 years of service. He was a master bridge player, and enjoyed playing chess and golf in his younger years.

Les will be sadly missed by his brother, Gerald “Jerry” Barkhouse (Phyllis) as well as his niece, Carla Hicks (Tyler) and their family.

In respecting Lester’s wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. A private family burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.

Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) are in professional care of arrangements.

In memory of Lester, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family can be share through the Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook Page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
