Obituary for John Wesley "Wes" Saunders

It is with great sadness that the family of John Wesley Saunders, loving husband of the late Sandra, announce his passing on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Born on October 10, 1948 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Muriel (Carpenter) Saunders.

Wes was a heavy equipment operator for over fifty years and was a well respected member of the construction industry in the Kennebecasis Valley area. When he wasn’t working, Wes loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. Above all, he loved his family and especially enjoyed spending times with his cherished grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Wes will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Michelle Rogers (Chuck) of Kingston ON; sons, Kevin of Rothesay and Christopher (Brigitte) of Morrisdale; sister, Kathleen Cromwell (Raymond) of Quispamsis; grandsons, Ethan and Jackson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. A private family funeral service will take place at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.

For those who wish and in lieu of flowers, remembrances in Wes’s name can be made to Bobby’s Hospice. WWW.BrenansFH.com.
