Obituary for Rosalie Ferris

The family of Rosalie Anne Ferris sadly announce her passing on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 22, 1938 in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Roy and Estella (Burhoe) Saunderson.

Graduating from Saint John Vocational School in 1956, she trained as a Radilogical Technologist at the Saint John General Hospital with certification in both X-Ray and Radiation Therapy. Active in the community she served as secretary of St. Thomas Church. A founding member of the Seaview Community Club, serving as President and Secretary. Also active in Politics she is the last President of the Saint John Fundy (Shore Road District) P.C. Association (now Hampton) a life member.

Leaving to mourn are daughters, Bette Anne and Linda; sons, Peter (Beverly) and Richard; grandchildren, Marianne (Steve), Charlotte, Clair (Ian); great-grandchildren, Grace, Will, Wes, Anderson, Isaiah, Elena, Sawyer and Jocelyn; brother-in-law, John Ferris (Carol); several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Susan and Samantha Walker. She will also be missed by (fellow Golden Girls) Norma, Carole and Tootie.

Besides her parents and husband, David M. Ferris of 45 years she was predeceased by one brother: William (Helen) Saunderson.

At her request there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church Black River on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424).
