It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys C. "Madill" McAfee, wife of the late Kenneth McAfee, which occurred on January 26, 2020 at the Kingsway Care Home. She was born in Saint John, on February 3, 1923, the daughter of the late William B. and Margaret E. "Johnston" Madill.

Predeceased by her sisters Alice, Doris, Margaret and brother Charles.

Gladys worked in the Revenue Accounting Department of NBTel for 31 years, retiring in 1978. A member of the NBTel Pioneers and a life member of Chapter #51, Pioneers of America.

Active in volunteering for years at the Loch Lomond Villa, Red Cross and other organizations, she led a very active life. She loved her church 'Kings Way Assembly' of which she was a member for many years.

She is now where she has longed to be and the 'Golden Girls' are back together again.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.

Remembrances made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
