It's strange the things you find when going through the internet. I actually saw Dana's picture and immediately knew who it was! First to Peggy, Karen, Peter and Don - please accept my condolences for your loss. I hope you have happy memories to remember Dana by.
It was an honor being your next door neighbor for nearly 13 years. My parents thought the world of you. I'll be seeing my mother tomorrow (she summers on Cape Cod) and will be sure to pass along to her about Dana. Unfortunately, we lost my father in 1996, but I'm sure they are up above having a chat about something they used to talk about.
As for a memory, the biggest one I have is the float for the 1976 Bicentennial Parade. To me there has never been another time where I have seen such a thing like the togetherness our street/neighborhood had preparing for that. It was a big undertaking and I just remember all the work Dana put into it. I may have been a 10-year old kid, but I was paying attention! I have a group picture from that float somewhere. I'll upload it if I can track it down.
I wish all of you the best and hope life steers you in a happy path!
