HARRY WILLAM GORDON JOHNSON
September 27th, 1937 – October 14th, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Harry W. G. Johnson on October 14th, 2017, in his 81st year. We will miss his encouragement and steadfast moral compass that always pointed the true and proper way.
Loving husband of Patricia (nee Dugdale) and devoted father to Christopher and Carol-Ann. Proud grandfather (Pa) of Christina, Benjamin, Chloé and Spencer and, favourite father-in-law of Victoria Switzer and Marc Beaudoin. Treasured friend and colleague to many.
Harry had an outstanding career as an executive with Canadian General Electric, Tridon, Northern Telecom and Federal Pioneer. He was known for his sense of humour, love of fishing and particular interest in military history. We will miss his litany of puns and circuitous story telling.
We would like to thank all those that have contributed to his care these last few years, particularly Dr. J. P. Woodland.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at a later date. A Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday October 26, 2017 at Glen Abbey Golf Club, 1333 Dorval Dr., Oakville between 1-4 pm in the Canadian Open Room, lower level. Please come share your memories of Harry with friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
