When I think of Uncle Son I can’t help but smile because most times when I saw him he was cheerful & smiling. I am also one of soooo many that this amazing family took in and made an impression on that will last a lifetime. As far as anyone knew, I was one of the Seow kids & we often had people tell us that I look like my ‘parents’☺️I have fond memories of Uncle Son always fixing something, making something, or cooking something. God truly gave him such a talent and a gift to work with his hands that I often believed that if something wasn’t working or broken, we just had to get it in his hands and he would make it right again☺️ I will always hold dear the memories of fishing with him off the pier in Ochie and of the excitement of a Saturday when he would announce that he would be making his famous chop suey 😋
As I look back on his life I am overwhelmed by the many, many blessings that The Lord heaped on his life! In addition to his giftedness, he was given to his very last breath, the most faithful, patient & godly wife in Miss Nellie! He was given a powerful legacy in his 8 loving children and grandchildren. I rejoice in knowing Uncle Son is very much alive -even though not anymore in the old 91 year old body. He is now more alive than his body could ever allow him to be & he is now with the Jesus he surrendered his life to last year. Praise God that is not pie-in -the -sky or wishful thinking - it’s a fact! I will very much miss him..but I KNOW I will see him again and I am thankful for the years and the memories that I now have to treasure.
