mild & bitter....

When I was 16 i went to England to spend the summer with my Grandmother Bea Watson and finaly meet my Uncle Phil, Aunt Valerie and cousins Sue & Hugh.  I don't know where Claire was at the time but she wasn't living at home....i met her about a year later when she came to the States on holiday.

Anyway,  meeting my Uncle Phil was cool because he spoke like a Beatle and smiled like a Watson !!

So upon meeting him he asked if i had ever been to a pub before which ofcourse i hadn't and he insisted on taking me to a pub for a pint of mild & bitter beer.  Let's face it; at 16 i realized i had the coolest uncle on the planet....and had a story for my friends in the States...ofcourse whithin a week later Sue took me out with her mates to a pub but my first drink was with Phil !!!
