I arrived at Knox in 1970 as a very young teacher recruited from Britain. Sheila was my head of department, very kind, very knowledgeable, and I learned an immense amount about teaching from her. She and I and Earl used to make trips to Kingston in those early days when the world was pleasanter than it is now. We both moved to the Cayman Islands in 1975 and when she left for Florida eventually, I lost touch with her. She lived a long good life.
