It brings me sadness to say goodbye to Sylvia. From the day I met her, she has been a friend and inspiration with her fierce determination. Always willing to help and always careful not to intrude or impose, Sylvia was there when needed. Our DAR chapter also lost a great friend and loyal member since 2005. The good times we all shared with our garage sales at her house, our day trips with her and just her fun loving nature will long be remembered. While I am saddened by her passing, I know she is with the Lord and is no longer struggling and in pain. One final thought about my friend, Sylvia that you may not have noticed – she could be a little stubborn. That in itself brings on funny memories. God gave us a gift of a close friend when he gave us Sylvia. We were blessed to call her friend. My prayers for her family and those close friends who also mourn her passing.
